So I've seen what appear to be small (about 10x10cm) square signs with one half being a red triangle and the other half being a white triangle. Noticed them primarily at a couple of paths on National Trust land. They're normally attached to a wooden post about 3ft high and some have numbers in them.
I've tried a Google search but it keeps coming up with traffic signs. Wish I'd taken a photo now.
So does anyone know what they indicate?
Sounds like orienteering markers
I know what ones you mean, I always thought these were logging industry related.
Pipeline marker? Seem to remember some popping up along a few bridleways I use after a new gas main had been put in for a new housing estate.
