Ok please help me sort out my patio.
The back patio is a standard type of patio with 600mm square flags and at least 10mm joints. After numerous jet washes I refilled all the joints with some special patio sand. This promised to be weed free and also go hard once settled in. I filled all the joints a couple of years ago and while it looked good for a year it not has more things growing in it than my lawn. In many ways im quite impressed but weed free it is not.
My intention is to jet wash it again and fill the joints with something more substantial. Im thinking some kind of jointing component that I cant mess up with. Maybe something like a sealant gun but with mortar. Does this sort of thing exist? Is there a foolproof way of fixing these? The steps have also become loose so I need to do the same on these but there is an overhang. How can I fill this joint?
Any help (and links) appreciated.
I bought a sealant gun for morter from B&Q I think. My builder mate laughed as me until I told him how quickly I finished the job and how little mess there was. Make your mix a bit sloppy and apply in smooth even lines. I ran the back of a spoon over the joint to give a nice profile and just before dry brushed with a stiff broom to remove any overspill. Still looking okay 8 years later
I used a resin mix on mine which you basically mix up, spray water all over the patio and sweep it in to the joints. You need two people ideally to make sure you wash off where you don't want it but it has been weedfree for 5yrs. This is the process https://www.pavingexpert.com/jointing13
People must be bored as this was asked a couple of weeks ago:

Funnily enough I have been meaning to do mine for a few years now...need to clean it up first to get all the loose stuff out, remove as many weeds as possible and then re-joint it.
I have been putting it off as I suspect any weeds that I don't remove/kill completely will eventually push their way back through my handi-work.
Or does that not generally happen?
I did mine about 9 years ago with this.
It's just getting to the state where I'm wondering if I should repoint a couple of areas where the slabs have moved slightly.
Geofix has been perfect for 7 years so far. It's not cheap but was recommended by a mate who is a paver/patio layer.
so can someone point me in the direction of what i need from b&Q? as ill need to get it delivered
