Any internet gurus here today?

I've gone through all the steps to download IE8 up to and past the point of reboot and "Allow access at all points" security wall request. I assume that it's all complete but, how do I open it up? Where's the clicky thing to get it started? Can't find it in My Computer and nothing has appeared on the desktop.

What am I missing? 😐

I tried that, but it says it's looking for msn6.exe - I've just downloaded MSN8?

Got it! It was lurking in C:\Docs&Settings\Administrator...

Didn't solve my "BBC embedded videos" and "Youtube get flashplayer" problems, though.

Weird thing is - occasionally, Youtube lets me watch videos and then suddenly doesn't - for long periods. I can watch Youtube videos that have been placed in Facebook though, AND place the "url" from any Youtube video that Youtube won't let me watch into Facebook, and then watch it!

Weird. I think I'm about to give up... 🙄

C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

or

D:\Users\aracer\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

works for me.

I'm using Firefox 3.6b5.

Tried Google chrome too, I don't think the problem is with the browsers...

Take it you have installed the latest version of Flash?

Strange as it should have loaded up with shortcuts.

Corrupt?

Yep Flash 10. Also latest Java & enabled...

I've a feeling it may be something to do with using Norton/Symantec security. A couple of users on the Youtube forum report the disappearance of the problem when changing to another type of software, although the BBC embedded videos have only recently stopped working for me, whereas the Youtube problem has been going for some time...
