My partner is still at the early stages, but her Solicitor ain't really doing much, except charge greatly.
No surprise! !
We don't want to represent ourselves - my nerves aren't up to it I'm afraid. l can do a lot of the spadework.

Anyway guys, l expect there's plenty of experience out there!
Your help MUCH appreciated. REWARD for a lucrative settlement!!!!!
Are you trying to not get ripped off yourself, or to rip the other party off?

Just want a fair settlement for her with the help of a no -nonsense solicitor.
Her husband revels in anything legal - he thinks he's Perry Mason!
Have you tried sorting out your finances by mediation?
It's usually guided by an ancillary relief lawyer who is a qualified mediator (ime anyway).
Much cheaper, quicker and less prone to turning nasty if you can speak to each other without resorting to arguing.

Just to clarify - it's not you and your partner who are getting divorced, it's your partner and her current husband? Wasn't very obvious from your first post...
Yes, my partner is divorcing her husband.
