I am trying to set up a wireless connection at work, we have an old computer that we use for email and are happy to keep that on the LAN cable but would like to be able to use a laptop and iphones wirelessly.
I have a d-link router that came as part of an AOL package but now use TALK TALK. I assume we cant run the AOL disk that came with it, so is there a way to get it set up without using a disk?
I am not great with computers but can follow basic intructions.

yes, most ISP's will have instructions on their websites that explain what values to set everything to.
then look up your make/model of router on the web and follow the instructions for that using the ISP's values where appropriate.
DONT run the AOL disc! Unless you want your PC filled with guff.
All you need are the username and password for the router to allow you to login.
To set up the router with TalkTalk you will need the broadband service username and password.
What model D Link router is it?

Ok, I had one of them in the past.
you need to go to 192.168.1.1 in Internet Explorer.
Username & password for the router are admin + admin.
From memory you need to go to DSL or WAN settings and you'll need to set it up with these settings
PPPoA
VC-MUX
VPI / VCI (0/38)
dynamic IP
DSL username
DSL password
Wireless or WLAN
Probably worth setting the wireless channel to a higher numbered one line 10 or 11
setup the encryption for WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK and set your password.
That should get you up and running!
