My wheeled trimmer (of this thread fame) has 14" solid wheels which makes it pretty hard going over lumpy ground. This is unfortunate as this is what I'm primarily using it to cut. I'm sure it would handle much better with large volume pneumatic tyres akin to something you might find on a wheel barrow. I've measured the current wheels and they've a 620mm hub and a 12.5mm axle diameter. The wheels themselves are 350x44mm. I reckon I could get away with running 400mm diameter wheels.

I've done lots of googling but I'm struggling to find anything that fits the bill in terms of hub dimensions. Does anyone have any bright ideas? I'll happily donate £20 to the charity of choice of the first person who finds something I then go on to successfully implement!

(It's one of these)

All I will say it that pneumatic tyres will squash when under load and when going over rough ground. This may sound great, but it does mean that the cut height will vary as the tyres squash - solid tyres will not puncture either.

Not overly fussed about even cut height, it's a fairly rough cut im after and the cutting head wont let it go too low.

I'm sure Ben at Kinetics could help, although the cost may be a tad more than you're prepared to pay...
