A while back I saw an advert/article for a gravel/mtb/offroad event that I`m fairly sure was held around Ludlow/ South Shropshire area. Very hazy on the details but seem to remember it being billed as an off sportive (but could of been a race) and was pitched as being perfect for gravel bikes but rideable on an MTB.

Any Ideas?

Ps. don't think I`ve ever created so many topics in one day.

I’d need to see a sample of the gravel before I try and help you to identify it.

Probably a bit grandiose to describe it as an event

Falling Leaves Rough Ride?

Right kind of event, but website was a lot more "homemade" and the ride was closer to home, welsh borders kind of area I think.

There is the Lakeland Monster Miles which is the type of event you describe. It has other events the same in other parts of the country. Maybe one of these? Other events are described in the links from the Monster Miles homepage .

Nothing looking like it yet. If I am remembering correctly it was run by a LBS, but I have checked on Pearce cycles and Epic cycles and nothing. It has been running for a few years but had the feel of being a little "underground" and not heavily publicised (probably why I am struggling to find it now)
