The pipe pictured below keep falling off from where it’s meant to be attached. It’s the outlet from the kitchen so sink, washing machine, etc.
I think it’s some kind of press fit fitting.
How do I stop it falling off? Just pushing it back together has so far not worked…

Get some new PVC waste pipe and the solvent glue for it from your local plumbing supplier, then glue it all together.

Yep, very cheap to fix rather than try to bodge

Coo, so all quite easy.

That about right?

That's push-fit piping with O-rings in the elbow.

The main problem is that there is not enough pipe, sticking out of the wall, for the elbow to get a proper grip.

New waste pipe, extended about 50mm through the wall and the existing elbow pushed fully home will solve that :o)

Be careful. Push fit and solvent weld are different diameters. The same nominally only.
That looks like push fit on my phone...new elbow and push the pipe through the wall from inside
Edit:Too slow!

Hard to tell from the angle the photos taken from but it doesn't look as though there is enough pipe sticking out of the wall to engage properly with the elbow - there needs to be 30mm or so, the pipe will bottom out on the shoulder you can see on the elbow so use that as a guide.
You might be able to push the pipe from inside, also get someone to hold the pipe so it doesn't push in when you re fit the elbow.
A bit of silicone spray or washing up liquid on the seal will help with refitting.
I'd be suprised if fully engaging the pipe doesn't work.

Edit, also too slow typing... 😂

Right, yes, looks like it is push-fit, will see if I can find a way to push it through from inside the kitchen to give it a bit more length to grip to.
Thanks all.
