I think it was from about four years ago?
I think they might have been a Scottish band(this might be wrong?).
Indie-ish guitar sound.
The video was a small group of random people in what looked like a town hall having spirits driven out of their bodies by the priest/holy man.
It was a damn good song and I can't find it for the life of me. Have even looked through my entire viewing history on YouTube and still can't find it.
Help pleeeease.
Is it Onerepublic singing counting stars?
Nope, not that one I'm afraid.
Is it a Biffy Clyro track?
Sounds a bit like Snow Patrol but can't place the video...
Is it a Biffy Clyro track?
That's what I was just about to say. Mon the Biff!
None of these I'm afraid.
It's starting to drive me a bit bonkers now.
Don't let the Scottish bit throw you because that probably isn't right.
I can sing it in my head but not enough to get the title of the song from it.
Unfortunately the only lyrics I think I remember are at the end of the chorus where I'm sure they sing '..dream a little dream of me'. And no, it's not the same song as the Ella Fitzgerald and Doris Day one.
There's a forum on Reddit for this exact type of request. Some nerd will nail it in three minutes
Great I'll try that!
It might not be this, but still....
Pendulum - Propane Nightmares?
It is a very good song.
It's not Scottish.
It was performed on Jules Holland show.
Would you like clues or the answer?
Just think of the satisfaction if you work it out yourself!
😆 that's just mean! Amusing though... Come on, give us a clue
Was released in 2010.
The band have since split.
The song is a cover version.
Video is good. Set in a Pentacostal church, redemption, snakes...
Karlp = bstd. Now i really need to know.
Cant give lyrics as someone will Google & spoil the fun.
How many pilot fish to swim with sharks? Ans = 1 more.
Nooooo.....Karlp you bloody well know it!
TELL ME!!!!
OP asks for help and gets a sodding cryptic crossword.
Well played STW, well played.
karlp - you are a rotter!
Funny though. 😆
It's not that irritating "take me to church" song is it?
Can't be, 'take me to church' is too recent, not a cover and Hozier is very much still around. It's not that irritating "take me to church" song is it?

Fair point, it just feels like its been around that long to me. Mrs GD likes it, me not so much.
I'm very much with you on that!!Mrs GD likes it, me not so much.

It's not One Direction?
Frightened Rabbit?
Close but no cigar boys & girls.
More clues?
Or the answer if requested by OP.
More clues please
After trying to google the clues so far I came across these crazy people:
If you were to put a gig on in a Pentacostal church you would have a ------ ---- which would help a lot.
If you really look and go deep something would surface.
If you think above is tough I did want to post a screen shot from the video but don't have the necessary skills.
Interestingly if you Google the cast in the video you (I) can't find the name of the main female character but I recognise her from somewhere.
Only 150k views on YouTube which is a shame.
Got it. Took 3 minutes from the clues. One hint is easily looked up on Wikipedia, then you can find the band name from another clue, then quick youtube search and it's the first result.
It's pretty good, reminds me of the White Lies.

I'm obviously no good at clues, as I don't think it's this...
Wouldn't be a cover of something 'Sensational' would it?
Beej- your detective skills are obviously much better than mine. I'm now tearing my hair out.
More clues please.
Start with the facts. Released 2010. Performed on Jools Holland.
Wiki lists all Jools Holland episodes, and who played. Look at the artist in 2010, then the

This. I got through about 30 seconds, skipped forward a bit to see if it picked up, concluded that it didn't. 😕
Yeeeha!!
Chapel Club - Surfacing.
You are all stars.
Thanks for curing a massive earworm.
Sorry to everyone who doesn't like the song, but the whole point is I am now one happy bunny.
P.S
I've got another one but I fear that may be impossible as the song came out about 10+ years ago and the only thing I can remember is that the video was set in a mental hospital.
The group reminded me a bit of Earl Brutus though I have no idea why?
Don't want to get moaned at on here so I'll try and solve that one myself...........unless anyone has a spare five minutes?
Well done chaps.
Nice bit of fun for a while.
Now I'll have to back to teasing my kids!

Mansun -Wide open space ?
Although I remember a different video to this one though, with a lad looking like he's got issues.
*edit- found the other video.
Naah not Mansun.
I fear I'll never find out.
Will have a very good dig around and see what I can discover?
Surely not?
