Looking for a holiday cottage for a week over easter, requirements as follows:

Sleeps 5 over three rooms
Accepts one dog
Near beach, ideally walking distance to beach
Nice views
Very close to a decent pub
Nicely appointed nudging towards luxury. Decent decor, nice sheets and towels, quality kitchen the type of stuff to keep Mrs S happy
West coast Scotland / closer Islands (probably not Outer Hebrides)
A few things to do near by, little towns/cafes/book shops stuff to do if raining

We are just back from this place, looking for a west coast equivalent.

Looking forward to hearing any suggestions, Thanks

Look through Scottish country cottages. I think it’s part of a bigger group now. My mother’s holiday let (not in the right area for you) is on with them and they get an annual inspection. Sounds like you would want their 4 star (crowns or whatever symbol) so search with that as a filter. Personally it’s all about location and can live with a bit of rough and ready for an epic view or beach bu don’t sound like this is an option.

We stayed here in the smaller chalet, I assume the bigger ones suit your needs, walking distance to the pub, takes 10 minutes. We had a great holiday.

Easter will be a busy time and most good ones will be booked up by now, Arran if there are any available would be my choice, I was looking at the Northumberland place looks nice but imagine 7 days at this time of year for that money would you not get a wee bit bored?

Baileyfield near Dunoon?
Except I was looking at 2020 not 2019, so no availability at Easter - doh!

Arran has everything, access, but quiet as soon as you're out of Brodick, tremendous road and MTB, world class ridge walking and climbing, and loads of ace places to eat, in no part thanks to the RET.

Keep it tae yersel mind. 😊

Isle of Bute. Mount Stuart Estate let through Sykes cottages. Only one country pub on the island, the Kingarth, but it has chalets to let. Or glamp at Ettrick Bay.

I've stayed twice at Dorlin Cottage for New Year, having walked past it and thought "now, wouldn't that be an amazing place to stay...". You have, to all extents and purposes, your own private beach and ruined castle, Castle Tioram. No problem with dogs, pub is less available but just bring in your own and the view cannot be beaten
