Apologies if I'm not meant to post covid stuff out with the big covid thread. I've finally caught it after 2 years of successfully dodging it.

I've got this weird symptom I just coherently describe and it's driving me mad (not being able to describe it). It's maybe to do with texture? Hard surfaces like benches and the floor seem to bring the feeling to the fore (for example when I sit down). Running my tongue across my teeth gives me the same feeling too. It's sort of accompanied by a slight nauseous feeling too. It's not new to covid, I recall having it when I had colds as a kid too. When I try to explain it "feeling like I'm biting rocks" comes to mind but I don't think that is properly describing it.

Help me out! Anyone else have this and can do a better job of describing?
(or just point and laugh at the weirdo :))

No idea..... But the latest variants can induce nausea.

The thing is there's so many symptoms and everybody's different.

Thanks yeah! The way I get colds always seems to run different to my wife (I'll get a head cold, she'll get a sore throat).

I guess not trying to get a solution or say its anything special as such, it's just one of those weird things I've never been able to describe and I'm curious to see if anyone else can do a better job than me!

Sounds like your nerves become ultra-sensitive. Some migraine sufferers describe the same symptoms.
