He's looking for somewhere no more than 3hrs drive from Durham & needs to have a hot tub! Southern Scotland, Lakes, Dales, Peaks....
Any recommendations?
Ta very much on his behalf.
Can't they just shag in a bed? Someone else has to use that hot tub the next day.

Shagged in it I expect. I don't care at all, I just wanted to introduce some smut to the thread at an early stage.
I just wanted to introduce some smut to the thread at an early stage.
Why?
Thanks anyway but your as much help as an ingrown hair follicle next to the anus.
If you want to some smut I can tell you they've been shagging for the last 12 years, so shagging in the tub is probably not on the list of priorities (anymore)
What on earth do they want the tub for? Enormous cheese fondue? 😐so shagging in the tub is probably not on the list of priorities
Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire.
Center Parcs Whinfell has a spa
Good looking call Somafunk, I'll pass that on.
What on earth do they want the tub for?
No idea, maybe sit in it with a drink & watch the stars/clouds/rain on their budget honeymoon?
Why is this forum such ****ing hard work sometimes???
Maybe have a look on https://www.canopyandstars.co.uk
They have some interesting accommodation options.
Well there is no point in having a hot tub unless it's swimming with dubious fluids.
Cheers Stumpy, that looks good too!
here you go Jimbo. lad went here for his honeymoon.

Funnily enough when we got married 11 years ago we had a minimoon in those neck of the woods.
Stayed at Slaley Hall, went quad biking, landrovering and buggy driving.
Highlight for Mrs_s was a trip to Diggerland. She's a lucky lady.

that`s saying a lot for someone in your line of work...
Sorry for being a **** 😆
Cheers Tony, link sent.
Slaley's a bit close, he's only about 45 mins away, It'll be good though!
There is a wrbsite called cottages for couple or something like that. Might be useful.
Yeah sorry EGF, sometimes I forget that people use the forum to ask serious questions.
How about the posh camping pods at the golf course at North Ballachulish? They've got hot tubs (which, believe it or not, get emptied, cleaned and refilled each day).

I googled "couples cottaging" and now have no doubts that they will have a memorable honeymoon.

No probs, sorry I took off on one (but theyr'e in their 30's & have been shagging long enough already)
I'd reccommend somewhere like Ballachulish but he doesn't want to drive more than around 3 hours, which is a shame cos that part of Scotland's me & Mrs Egf's fave!
I know, he'd probably be able to see that house from there. Pity, it's worth the extra hour I reckon.
POrtpatrick in Dumfries and Galloway - charming little town,
I know, he'd probably be able to see that house
Stop it, I'll cry. ( I LOVE that house, & will see it again in May. Won't be in it, but I'll see it)
Portpatrick is lovely TJ. We were there last September.
Cottages near Brimham Rocks - Ripon
Scargill Castle near Barnard Castle.
No hot-tub but ticks lots of boxes.
Been on my radar for some time.
I'll second Laggan. An old friends son works there.
Google shanks cabin.
Have a look on the Landmark Trust website, all sorts of amazing and special places available
500 + vat that'll secure it 😉
Laggan's a great shout - they've literally just opened it (and have spent a FORTUNE on the place) and it looks superb.
Pretty part of the area down there too - spot on for a few days away.
The Tempest Arms, Elslack (near Skipton) has rooms with hot tubs. Sensible prices, very nice food and ale.
Skipton is ideal for access to the Dales
I thought the OP didn't want smut in the thread!Highlight for Mrs_s was a trip to Diggerland. She's a lucky lady.
Although he's in denial about the hot tub usage.
L'Enclume in the Lakes - that's where I went.
As featured in The Trip with Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan.
Forest Holidays. There's one just outside Pickering. Relaxing log cabins with hot tubs.
We stayed here once - I'd certainly stay there again https://www.dannah.co.uk/rooms-and-suites/
Cheers Andy, Forest Holidays looks good.
Crab & Lobster at Asenby.
Food is good.
Communal sauna and hot tub.....
@esselgruntfuttuck. They are! We've stayed at Keldy (the one near Pickering) a few times including over Christmas this year. We've been to both the Scottish ones, and the Cornwall one. They are great. Fit in with walking, running, biking and dogs. So great for us.
