IMG_7373.jpeg I’m trying to find a bottle to use when running. I’d like to get another bottle like the one pictured above as I like the flip-up lid.

Done loads of searching, but can’t find any bottles with this type of lid. Any recommendations will be appreciated!

Old school!

They can’t be, Ronhill doesn’t sell them!

Maybe look at Lakeland and see what kind of bottles they do? Bound to be a household bottle that uses that lid and can be repurposed for your needs.

Maybe also try the Range? They might have something in their cleaning aisle place.

Good point. I retract my statement

Looks like a runaid bottle.

Some dedicated searching using that might find some but suspect its a line closed years back.

Id think it's something your gonna have to make.

Google lense points to museums......

Good thing is lots of science suppliers supply that cap

Lots of bottle suppliers supply bottles shaped like that -but with vastly better caps.

Id buy a modern capped equivalent. Try it out and see if that works for you. If not look at science suppliers for a replacement cap in the vein of what you have

The cap on that looks like something you’d squeeze sun screen lotion from! Not something you’d want to get muddled up!

I think you’re right, but I can’t believe it’s a museum piece!

Thanks all for your help and suggestions

Probably doesnt help but I looked at various out of stock links and thought the museum link was far more amusing to include.

Just curious (as I might learn something), but what do you see as the advantage of that particular lid?

I prefer the soft bottles for running as you don't get water sloshing around in a bottle when it's no longer full.

Soft bottles just collapse as you go.

I’m not sure that there are any actual advantages to the flip-up lid that I was looking for, it’s just that I’m a creature of habit!
I’ll just have to be brave and try something “new” that isn’t a museum piece 😂

This one I find a bit odd. I've never run carrying bottle or anything else. I sweat more than anyone I've ever met.

I've been running with a guy in the office for a few weeks now. He manages to chug down at least 1/2l over a slow 5k. Just looking at him, his stride looks all wrong to me as one arm swings and the other is pretty stationary with a bottle in hand. If you must have water I'd suggest a bladder in a backpack might be a better idea.

If the op is running about in robhills and museum piece bottles i would guess this is hydration for a marathon.. possibly and ultra.

Just go for a hydration vest* ,and be like the young crew 😉 🙃

* with soft bottles and (optional) tube feeds

I've seen those caps on packs of toiletry travel bottles in supermarkets / discount stores.  I expect the thread is pretty universal.
