Hi,
Sitting at airport, realising that I didn't pack the charger lead for my Garmin watch. I want to keep track of my rides for the next 10days so will need to rig something....
If someone has the same watch, could you do me an immense favour and measure the voltages on the charger lead - I only need + / -. I believe it is the top and bottom pins, need to know which way round. If you look at the back of the watch - top pin is the oversized one, is it + or -.
Will cut up a cheap USB lead and give it a go ....
Cheers
Amazon Prime to your accommodation might work.
I see 5v between the top and bottom pins on the charger. Viewed with the Garmin writing up and the pins on the right hand side the bottom is positive and the top negative.
So on the watch that's top (nearest the strap) negative and bottom (nearest the HR sensor) positive.
Or, more simply, oversized pad negative.

Also got one of these in my overnight bag... it's a little tighter than the genuine but works fine.
That's the wrong model ajaj.
Good point. Now I feel stupid. Ignore me.
I took a risk on big pad negative. Got some cardboard from Lidl, a broken charger lead from the accommodation, and two nails extracted from some old fencing. Nails cleaned up by rubbing on the wall, inserted through cardboard, watch looped round and a wedge of cardboard at the back to keep pressure on, lead stripped back to expose positive and negative and wrapped round nails. Connected to a mobile power bank.
Now charged at 100%. Amazon Prime would have been easier, but I’ve achieved a strange sense of (rare) achievement and didn’t have to wait in for a delivery that may have never found us.
if I could figure out posting a photo, I would capture my fleeting joy.
Cheers for the help.
