[Closed] Help constructing my Summer House Jib (?) /hidden door

Just one bump

Winter and a new job got in the way but finally managed to get started again last weekend and completed the hidden door.

how did you manage to do it? can you link the photo as it doesnt show!

since the new forum i cant even find your old thread..annoying as i wanted to see the pictures for inspiration!

No secret door ,but that's a funny dog in rucksack photo 🙂

"carefully" given the price of the Cedar! I struggled to find any help on the Internet and had cut the timber carefully and really took my time measuring and cutting, its not a great job but its passable and opens OK etc.Make sure your door is opening inwards of course.

great job! What gap do you have floor to bottom of the cedar? And what did you use round the edges of your roof?

That looks brilliant, I plan on building something similar in the next few months.

Did you follow any plans or is it just made up as you go along?

Sorry I didnt get around to answering these, probably too late now but just in case.

I left a gap of about 3 inches and I have dug a small trench all around and filled with stone to help with drainage.

No plans, just made it up as I went along. Wanted a nice sit in area and a shed, had a free set of doors so that was the brief 🙂

Hope to finish the floor, skirting and decorating this weekend. Plaster nearly dry.

The plastering is one of the 2 things I didnt do myself, the other was connecting each end of the guarded power cable through the glands into each RCD. (needed my mate who is a spark to do it)
