Hi Chaps,
I'm looking to replace my steel rims with some Alloys on Winter Tyres for the winter up here in Scotland.
The current wheels are 195/65/15, and I'm looking at some 215/50/17 - which gives an overall difference of 2.1mm.
Is that gonna be too much of a difference, in terms of rubbing arches and speedos?
This is on a Mk3 VW Caddy,
Cheers
Ricks
Generally smaller wheels are better for snow- either buy small alloys or put winter tyres on the current steel wheels.
I imagine one of the VW forums might have compatible wheel sizes- perhaps look at the other trim levels/VW optional extras to see what sizes they do?
Ideally im looking to get alloys i can switch summer tyres onto after april too. So 17s would be better just for cost really.
