Help please folks,
Pretty much as in thread title... we are certain Mrs Eyepic's car is insured but can't actually remember who we did it with!!
Obviously we are totally stupid but nevertheless request help.
Is there a simple place to go to to check?
(Feel free to mock).
Plan A at the moment is to go through the last years bank statements looking for a payment.
Check your bank statement.
Check your email !
I change insurers every year, and sometimes lose track, there’s always an email confirmation, so I just search my inbox.
Put car registration into email search box.
Edit - what Dez said
That will let you know if it is insured. Then relax a little and go through all your stuff to find out who it's insured with.
I often have this, email search takes seconds
Thanks folks... It's insured...
Now the email trawl.
"Trawl"? Don't you have a search function?
Typically you’ll only need your insurance details when (a) it’s up for renewal (b) you change car or (c) you’ve had a crash
You’ve had a crash, haven’t you?
Thank gawd it's not just me then op!
I've had this a few times in years gone past.
As said, email search with your reg plates is the easiest solution.😁
Just rag it past the po po. You'll know soon enough if it's not insured...
I feel your pain, I 'try' to stick the current certificate in a google drive folder these days, but it doesn't always happen and my credit card only have 6 months history most of the time these days which makes it harder!
I ‘try’ to stick the current certificate in a google drive folder these days
This. I download the docs (I know.... who the hell does that!!) to a folder on Google Drive (one folder per car/per year).
Generally you only ever need them if something's gone wrong!!
