Bought off gumtree (stupidly) as I needed a phone at short notice. Worked but had a few issues so sold on eBay for spares or repair. It has been returned to me as it is a clone and not genuine. I am really shocked as have had an s4 previously and its identical. All the air gestures etc work perfectly so am still getting my head round it.
I'm looking to recoup something and I understand there is a market for them. My question is can I list it on eBay without eBay pulling it? If so what would I need to say in description?
Tried to return it to where I got it but no way can do as can't get hold of seller.
how do you/they know it is a clone?
Phone serial number apparently. Looked online and certainly has legs.
It puzzles me as pics of other 'clones' online don't look identical to a real S4 as they have thick bezels around the screen where as this is identical.
they also all seem to have very different hardware - screen res, processor, memory etc...
What does yours say in 'about phone' or whatever in the settings menu?
Have you given Samsung your phone serial number to check if it's genuine?
Also, do you know the phone you got back is the same as the one you sent out?
exactly that, IMOAlso, do you know the phone you got back is the same as the one you sent out?
That + 1
Have they cloned it?
Sorry have you been scammed on ebay. On the one you sent can you remember any marks etc?
I sold a phone on fleabay years ago .the buyer started trying it on saying this and that didn't work. I'm not in the habit of arguing with buyers anymore and just said ok send me my phone back the serial no is 1234456* . Never heard back from them after that. Too many people trying it on nowadays.
No it's definitely the phone I sent. I can say for certain.
Can you upload some pictures? actually quite curious how good the clone looks compared to my S4 here.
