Doing chicken breasts in the oven for the carnivores. How long do they need to be in for? (From raw I think. Ick.)

My wife also a veggie would cook them for about 3hrs and still wonder if they are cooked proper.

25-30 mins 180 cover with foil when out of oven allow to rest for 5 mins or so.

As a meateater I'd tell your guests to get stuffed if you're doing to cooking.

Heh.

25-30 mins 180

The oven will be hotter as I'm doing all the veg too. I'll stick 'em at the bottom - is that going to be a problem?

(and, thanks all)

You're smart enough to operate a pc you can tell when chickens turned from pink to white, pfff!

I'm a long term meat eater but if I went to a veggies house for dinner and they gave me meat i'd be gutted.
Good veggie food is bloody lovely.

Whilst you're preaching to the converted, I'm cooking "Christmas" dinner for my mum and she'll pull her face at a veggie roast.

If you want to check if they are cooked, stick a knife in and the juices should run clear.

25 mins at first.

If oven is hot for roast veg you might want to cover them in foil or they may be overly dry. Also skin on or off, if on its nice to put a little olive oil on and salt amd pepper so its nice and crisp. If chicken is done first just remove and keep covered in foil, its certainky best rested rather than scorched and overdry.

Of all this seems too much just pan fry them starting with skin side down first.

They're de-skinned I think (I've not actually checked.

So, drizzle with oil, ~30m and covered loosely in foil? Groovy.

I'd offer to do that bit for them if required, like getting a plumber to sort your electrics...
