Help, Moon helmet light has died. What should I replace it with? Not too heavy and no battery back. I have main light on bars so doesn't need to be mega.

Budget?
Joystick or Diablo from sdj would get my vote for a helmet mounted but they're not cheap.

I wanted the same, so bought an Exposure Diablo.

Only issue is I've to be more careful with battery management compared to previous lights that had cable/battery (and spare battery) in my pack.

Is a £200 one really much better that a £50 one?

Probably a £50 one, the days are getting longer now! Hurrah.

i`ve got a chilli tec capsule. its cheap and works. Actually i have 2 - the 2 LED and the single LED. I much prefer teh single LED version as teh colour and flood of the light is nicer - less bright white so my brain seems to process what i see better! I take a spare battery with me in a pocket.

That outbound light from the other thread looks good (linky) - all in one unit. Not sure what tax you'll get stung for though.

I might be tempted as I'd light to move to an all in one unit rather than having a cable hanging down my back

Only reason I didn't mention that is I think there is a minimum order value which the head unit falls below, unless ordered with a bar mount one.

As a light? Don't know but the batteries, sealing, after sales and "niceness" yes, good batteries are expensive, more so than many cheap lights.

My old maxx d is 15 odd years old I think and still going. It had an issue with the board at about 7 years old. Sent to exposure, fixed and returned foc.
