How is the permitted development 2.5m shed height measured when on a hill?
For me the garden next door one side being several meters higher than the garden next door the other.
Common sense would dictate its 2.5m from the ground it's built on.
But my street is very steep so a shed on the higher garden could cause overshadow by at least a meter, whereas the other side the shed roof would be barely higher than my garden.
I think the devil will be in the detail.. Do they assume everyone's garden is level.. A pretty wild assumption.
2.5m above the highest part of the ground adjacent to the new building.

Sweet I can build a 2 storey shed on that basis, as long as its on the left hand side of the garden 🙂
I joke, of course.
