hello Guys

I need to replace my Titan petrol hedge trimmer which has died after a couple of easy years work, it replaced a Ryobi which lasted the same amount of time. I only need to trim about 20m of privet hedge several times a year so I don't need a top end model.

So what would you recommend to buy and also what to avoid

cheers

An electric one.

I mean to buy. I've not got a hedge but my dad's got a couple of old black and deckers that seem indestructible and very easy to use.

As above - electric and if you need a petrol one for a bigger cut then hire one.

Another Titan ? I recently bought one of these (Screwfix) .... Cheap, pretty light and should be more than powerful enough for privet

All I'll say is that I've just changed from a traditional electric trimmer to a stihl petrol pole trimmer and I simply cannot get over just how much easier a pole trimmer makes it.
So in summery, pole trimmer [powered by whatever]

Actually forget that .... it's only 20m of hedge. Ignore me and get what everybody else says.
