Old or new.
What you got?
Not sure if this is fitting the genre but it is Japanese and has guitars.

Heavy Roots Dub allowed?
A classic dub 70’s/80’s dub remix..
Skip 2 minutes in for some sweet choons.
Not really roots but still a great tune that's been covered a shit load of times.

Dr Alimantado-Reason For Living

How do you insert videos?
Top thread. Forgot about Eek a Mouse. Not listened to him for 20 odd years back when I was a crusty dredd.
Top thread indeed.
Sent me off on an old stuff that I've not listened to in a while search.
Bookmarking for work tomorrow 😁
I've spent my life loving reggae and dub, but I've never been that good at seeking out new stuff or knowing what I'm listening to as it's so often on a compilation, so have been looking forward to hearing stuff that Singletrackers love too.
Anyone find anything new that's good?
Closest I have to new is probably a band like Midnite, but they can be hit and miss. New is maybe the wrong word. Contemporary?
Got to give a nod to my hardcore/reggae-crossover roots.

Liking this thread a lot!
Steel Pulse 🤠👍👍
Huw wotsisname played Handsworth revolution on 6 music this morning 👌👍
Congo Natty. I didn't know this, but Congo Natty is none other than Rebel MC, from back in the olden days... 🙂 Explains the junglist thread through his music.
Love Congo Natty's stuff, he did a good dub version of Jungle Revolution
Yeah I have that 👍
Not really roots but too good to leave out
Gotta have some sly and robbie - laid down the beats on many a classic
Jacob Miller Tenement Yard
Natural Ites - Picture On The Wall
Pat Kelly - It's a Good Day
I Roy - Welding
Some awesome stuff being posted folks 👌

Indeed. It was their album, Dub Experience, accompanied by a thick blanket of smoke that I think got me heavily into reggae when I was a yoot.
Until recently, I lived with a Jamaican guy called Barrington Levi. It wasn't that one though. 😄
A couple from the mainstream. I've got Signing Off by UB40 and there are some great tracks on that. Raw and heavy, not like when they made the charts.
Also, musical youth. Some really good stuff on their album.
This thread has got me following a few good reggae wormholes.
Dub FX is very good at pressing buttons 👍
Subbed.
Bought this vinyl leaving a concert, heavy, heavy night.
Congo Natty is ace .
ta.
Posted this one on the bass thread, needs to be on here as well - Sly and Robbie connection.
Dr Alimantado - Born For A Purpose
