I need to get a heater to keep one room a bit warmer than the rest of the house.
Are the elec ones all as efficient as another? Anything to buy/avoid?
Mrs goose works for poundstretchers, we got two from there, one bedroom to take chill out before retiring. One front room to top up warmth. Both good value. Would recommend.
Dyson AM04 HOT.
Toasty.
any info out there on heat per £?
For what it's worth, I bought an oil filled one to supplement the central heating when micrbits came along and I didn't want the rest of the house at baby bedroom temp. Just something cheap from Argos and it's done the job nicely
not got they wee thermo valves on the rads?
The kitchen one is on lower than the rest of the house at ours.

This too - still comes out in the winter (3.5yrs old now) as we are in an exposed location and their wall is at the gable end.
Roiente ones or NOBO heaters but they are 3-400 quid...good though

In most electrical goods some energy is lost and dissipated as (mostly) heat. In a heater this isn't a problem.
When working from home I use a cheap Argos one to heat just the room I'm in. Works fine and must be about 7 years old now.
I have a DeLonghi one, on wheels. It has 3 settings, temperature control and a timer that I've not used.
It will get used in the lounge tonight as the room can't get above 17 degrees. Takes a while to warm up though and you need to be close to it. This:
5p an hour to run...
G/f just bought a1.5kw DeLonghi for her office during the day (rather than heat the whole house), seems very good & a 10year warranty
