Getting a bit cold so brought an old oil rad home that was destined for the tip.
Got it in a hallway just to take the edge off. Ideally it’d kick in when it gets below a certain temperature, but not in the middle of the night.
There is no brand name on it and the internet is no help so can anyone work out how to use it by the photo of the controls? And whether it will do what I want?
There is a sun and a moon, but no clock so how does it know? A picture of a house, and a snowflake… what does it all mean?

Can you just use the Thermostat on the rad and a smart/timer plug to turn the whole thing on and off? (can't see the pic btw)
Normally sun/moon are time setback buttons - I think you press it actually at the relevant time you want it to go into day/night mode and it remembers that. So you press the sun at 7.30am, or whatever. House, similarly, might allow you to set a time when the house is occupied. Snowflake means it just cuts in when the temperature drops under a certain low level to stop your pipes freezing etc.
But yes, post up a pic, and a make/model.
Are each of those symbols separate buttons? How do you change mode?
With the help of some generic manual I guess:
Sun = normal mode
Moon = night mode = low power/temp (ie it will set a couple of degrees lower than the same number on sun mode)
Snowflake = frost protection = only comes on at low temps
House = ?? nuclear mode, heats the whole house ??
You press 'Mode', There's like a blister button behind it which cycles through on each press.
In which case that's probably a manual mode change.
Maybe
House - just heat to whatever number I've set
Sun - I'm out mostly, so a couple of degrees lower than this number
Moon - I'm in bed, so even lower
Snowflake - I'm leaving the property empty, but I don't want my pipes freezing.
