I've got a flat with a Polypipe underfloor heating system fitted and it has one of these controllers. It's a horrible, unintuitive thing that is next to impossible to use even with the instructions and is very hard to understand how it is set and what its' doing. The flat is let out and tenants get confused (I've just had a callout charge for a 'no hot water' where they'd switched off the time clock...)
For some insane reason, these Polypipe controllers basically have two relays in them - so theres a live in/return wire from the wiring centre - but no constant live, so they work off 2 AAA batteries. Which run out after c2 years. Each of the room stats (which have no display on them at all) is the same - I'm guessing a 240v relay, but powered by AAA batteries.
I want to fit a simple standard 2 channel programmer - like this Drayton but, while I can easily get a 240v supply to the time clock, the wiring centre is in a different location and the connections for the heating/water would be different.
Any suggestions on an easy to understand 2 channel heating hot water controller that will just switch a pair of relays on the outputs?
