just moved house and the fairly new boiler (vaillant ecotec plus) and controller (vaillant vrt392f) has a setting that can be either '2 step or analogue' according to the manual

as i understand it, 2 step means the boiler is on firing at max or off? And analogue means the boiler will modulate its output depending on heating demand.

Its currently set to 2 step, but i've read that analogue may be more efficient.

Its heating standard rads, no underfloor heating. So should i switch it to analogue? Are there any problems i can cause by doing this and anything to watch out for?

Thanks
