We built a small cabin in the back garden this summer (2.5m x 3.5m), and want to keep it electricity-free.
What sort of heating solution might you suggestion for a small room like that, that does not run on electricity?
Portable gas heater is the easy option. Just make sure you get a CO detector. A small one will be fine in that space, but the standard big ones are probably cheaper. Loads available second hand. You can usually buy (or get free) an empty bottle on gumtree to swap for a full one at the gas dealer, which is cheaper than turning up empty handed.
HIIT turbo trainer sessions on a turbo that doesn't require mains. 😆
A Chinese all in one diesel heater, you'll need a 12v supply so maybe a leisure battery that can be trickle charged when you're not using it. You'll also need to vent the exhaust to the outside but it'll pump out plenty of heat.

Well I'm happy to see we have moved on from suggesting the idiotic tea lights under a pot.
Chinese diesel heater is a good option as is portable gas heater -less smelly than filling diesel.
Wood burner only a good suggestion if your already holding fire wood otherwise it's rather inconvienant.
Most small wood or coal etc stoves for heating huts and cabins, and on old sailing ships, canalboats etc work on the principle that its a big cast iron or steel box that itself heats up and projects the heat. You can even buy little convection driven fans to circulate that warm air.
Hot metal boxes are great for putting your feet up on, and can heat or warm anything placed on top. Never cold coffee/tea, and you have the added benefit of being able to burn domestic waste, sensitive documents, bills etc you'd rather not throw in the bin..
He lives in a smokeless zone so wood is out.
