I’ve used Purple parking in the past but it’s £200 or something, but the service is good. When I’ve gone with the cheapest possible we have then waited for an hour or so to bring the car, which is infuriating.
Does anyone have a goto parking option that isn’t expensive?
THANKS

Stay at the thistle hotel and leave your car in their car park. You need to pay for it but there's usually a 'room+5/8/15 day parking' deal and it's about the same price as just the parking. Plus nobody moves your car while you're away.

I knew a guy who used to drive to within a few miles of the airport, find a street with free parking, park up and call a taxi.

We used long stay when we recently went to the US for 10 days. Price wasn’t bad and shuttle bus was easy to catch. This was from terminal 5.

Business parking at Terminal 2 was 186 quid for two weeks in June. Well worth it as it was just across the road from my pre-flight hotel and the shuttle bus was really quick.

We also used the long stay. I think purple parking has been replaced by a different company, I’d look at their Google reviews before booking… it was a no from me!

People do it in my street. KT7 try it, I will even keep an eye on your car if you give me a number 😉

PS they totaled my wifes 3 Series a couple years back. They did pay out a lot more than it was worth though

We always use the official long stay car parks at Heathrow and Gatwick. Both can be used via topcashback (I'm sure). The trick is to book it as early as you can as the price increases nearer the dates. They both have free cancellations so it's a no brainer, Heathrow certainly does.

We paid £108 for 11 days at Heathrow Terminal 2 long stay in May, booked in September.

TGO, yeah I’m leaning toward that, showing £160 for 13 days.
I leave tomorrow 🤦‍♂️

It's the safe option in my opinion and when leaving my car for an extended period, that is what I would always go for, even though my car is now old and comparatively worthless.

I'm flying from T4 next week - Purple Parking used to offer spaces in an official long stay car park that's within spitting distance of the terminal, but for some reason they're not listing this car park at the moment. However, it is being offered on the Heathrow Airport website - I'm paying just over £100 for 9 days . . . which works out cheaper per day than I pay to park in Plymouth.

Deals I've seen (flying in Nov for two weeks) seem to be cheaper with hotel, so inclined towards that even though my flight is at 3pm. 200 quid for parking only, 160 with a hotel within walking distance. IF you're flying avec bike its worht the extra for meet and greet. LOng haul I'll always shovel out extra, because sod dealing with buses after a sixteen hour flight.

PM'd you. We're local to LHR and parking nearby is always challenging.

Thanks all.
If was alone I’d go for the street idea, but I’ve booked the long stay, was worried it would double if I dicked about any longer.

Good call. A lot of the meet and greet outfits are really dodgy, never ceases to amaze me people with a £60k car pick the cheapest parking and then get irate when the car comes back covered in mud, lots of miles on the clock and a dent in the wing.

Or you end up paying someone £200 to dump your car in a steeet in Slough or West Drayton while you’re away!

That's what my Dad used to do ... except he'd park near a bus stop. Taxi's way too expensive!
Even this year when I flew in from Oz he picked me up on a back street by a bus stop a couple of miles away.

I can tell you who not to use! Ezybook
They seemed to be a broker for Riteway Parking
Booked in Feb for T3, 1 week. Our flight was cancelled the day before, I rang, they told me to contact the driver. I spoke to driver. He denied all knowledge when we rang on M25 on way to T3! We had to get long stay at airport and paid £200! No refund from Ezybook either.
Reviews are equally as bad - I should have checked further than the star rating on comparison site....
