So I went for it and have my xbox one arriving tomorrow with GTA5, and have a couple of fiends that I can play online with. What headset do you use / recommend? Don't want to spend a fortune, maybe 30-40 quid.

I got a pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force XO Xbox One for my daughter which she really likes. They come with an adapter to use in the old style (not 3.5mm plug) controller and you can hear yourself so less shouting.
Jumping in slightly, are these headsets purely for talking to other people?
I have an addiction to COD advanced Warfare and the machine gun fire pisses the wife off. Would be good to play with headphones but not so bothered about speaking to 6 year olds wupping my butt at midnight!

I'm using Turtle Beach XO too. Big step up from the standard headset for not too much cash. Yes, can be used just for game audio and you can hear the games in much more detail. They're 3.5mm jack so can be used just as normal headphones as mic can be detached, although the audio for music isn't the best.
