Anyone used it? Does it work?

Mrs lunge has a rather battered car and I (well, her dad who is pretty knowledgeable about these kind of things) think the head gasket has gone.

The car is being replaced fairly soon anyway so as these fixes in a bottle worth trying? It would only need to keep the car running for a couple of months whilst we find a new one.

Whats the worst that could happen, if it's already blowing a bit it might seal a hole for a while.

k seal is the best stuff. I have had various old bangers in the past and i have found k seal more effective than radweld.

I've used K-seal in an old land rover and it seemed to work pretty well.

just bunged some k seal in my a3 with a porous head and it seems to have stopped leaking coolant, nothing horrible has happened either. Various mechanics have recommended it to me, for 10 quid its a low risk experiment.

I would imagine its only a temp fix to keep you going, long term I doubt its a good idea.

been in the girlfriends golf for years. alternative is to skim the head. not worth the hassle or expense on a 500 quid motor is it.
