One of my daughrers has an Asus laptop that has a 3060 laptop cars in it.

She has an HDMI output on the side of the laptop, but we cant get the signal out. It wont work with her tv or 4k monitor, both of which accept HDMI from the playstation.

It seems like we have to disable output to the laptop screen and enable output to the HDMI output,, but she doesnt know how to do it

Any ideas?

Ian

That's odd - the HDMI shouldn't be limited. My daughter's ASUS TUF gaming laptop will drive screens - maybe don't duplicate desktop, just use extended desktop ?

Fn + the F key that has a picture of a monitor on it! It will let you chose the output mode!

Tried shutting the lid whilst the cable is plugged in?

Does sound like it shouldn't be working like this though

Windows key + P lets you select monitors. Or right click on the desktop and select Display Settings.

Win-P as above. Does it appear in display settings?

Try a different cable, not all are equal.
