I've got to be in Haymarket later this morning, is it still a nightmare with the Trams, roadworks etc. Should i just get the train?

Bishopbriggs, but thinking of driving to Edin park and train from there.

Round about Haymarket is pretty bad if you are driving lots of diversions and closures.
Train in from Edin Park should be fine

If its outside rush hour should be ok - come in Calder Road and West Approach Road, rather than A8. But train might be easier as avoids need to find parking in town.
