Anyone have an idea as to what time they will be getting in the ring?
Not really that bothered about watching the endless build up and undercard - I can spend this time productively in the pub 😀
Who would you back?
I have no idea who is better than who, but the "war of words" is hilarious. Haye said this week that the e-coli outbreak in Germany was more of a worry to him than Klitschko 😀
I'm not sure tbh, I've got a feeling Haye might sneak it on points.
Hopefully Haye will get killed. Oh, the irony... 😉
around 10pm (11pm German time).
around 10pm (11pm German time).
Hopefully Klitschko will hammer him.
I'm finding the utter lack of respect Haye has towards Klitschko embarrassing. It's similar to how James DeGale was towards George Groves. It was so satisfying to see the look on DeGales smug face when he found out he'd lost. Hopefully it will be the same with Haye.
I know a lot of the pre fight build up is pantomime but sometimes you can go too far.
Yep as above around 10 pm. Probably actually ding ding 1st round nearer half past after they've done all their fannying around!! Haye has to go out and drop bombs early on, keep his suspect chin well tucked in and clit on the ropes! He's gotta control the fight very early and keep the pace up, because if he gets into a toe to toe slug out later on he could well get caught! £15, robbing sky barstewards!!
I a backing haye...mainly because there is no hope of me spelling the other guys name
Klitschko hopefully because Hayes keeps talking rubbish ... 🙄
So you choose the Russian over the Brit? You Russian?
Is this tonight? Or at the weekend? What channel?
weekend and sky pay per view for £15 ish
Ballcocks to that. I will look forward to seeing the stills on the news the following morning then.
MF you tight ****er 😉 You could invite 2 friends round and go for a fiver each!
wrightyson - MemberSo you choose the Russian over the Brit? You Russian?
Yes, he is the fighting machine for Dear Leader.
Haye talks nonsense, he's good but not that good. The twins will keep their belts, would be fun if they had a fight TBH.
weekend and [s]sky pay per view[/s] P2P for [s]£15 ish[/s] **** all
Don't thank me, thank the internet 🙂
yes that what I will doing if i watch it
That'd be ok if it was four in the morning, my Internet is slow as shit at that time of night. I'll still be on the first round buffering away when the fights actually on the fourth 👿
TBH Haye is a smart cookie and most of what he is saying is merely to sell tickets and try and upset the usually unflappable Klitschko.
I personally find Haye, when he is isn't selling a fight, one of the more eloquent and personable boxers out there, and it's a shame that the trash talk is clouding peoples opinion of him, he is one of the good guys IMO.
If haye can knock him down early, as has been done many times in his previous fights, he stands a chance. I think more likely that Klitschko will hide behind his long jab, be defensive, but control the fight and take it on points.
Haye has to work him on the inside very early doors, get in close and stop him building any rythm,as you say if clit just sits there jabbing away and is allowed to do so then a loss will probably be on the cards. I can see haye genuinely flying out the corner on round 1 and just going for it! Here's hoping for a quality fight!
Just had a look at the P2P site. Crikey that's complicated. They want me to read ALL THAT? WTF is "Flash Streaming"?
Pfeh. I'll wait 'til Sunday and watch it on Youtube.
Haye, BTW. And then he'll have his brother.
Haye, BTW. And then he'll have his brother.
You mean he's gay???
No chance of it going the distance!
YouTube will take it down pretty quickly I've found for other ppv fights.
Yep, MyP2P is your friend if you don't subscribe to the Bank of Sky.
Originally wanted Haye to win - being British an' all - but he's such a cocky disrespectful **** that he's asking for his comeuppance. Klitschko on the hand has been very articulate and down-to-earth. So now quite happy if the latter wins.
Can see Haye taking him out in the latter rounds but can also see him struggling to get near because of reach disadvantage etc.
De Gale - another cocky git.
I think Haye also has Groves in his team - at least I think I heard him interviewed on TS a couple of days ago. One of the first things he said was something like, "... yeah, when David decapitates him ...". I mean, WTF? No wonder the Russian's manager is pissed off because he feels Haye is demeaning all that is great about the British attitude to decency and fair play in sport etc.
Pantomime ego and bullshit. Haye to lose in round 9.
I think Klitschko will have too much for Haye, Haye goes on about his jab n grab style, but that jab has quite a bit of substance....Of course if I was ever likely to watch something illegally I would probably go for Livetv, myself.
Haye also relies on his power too much, which is mostly all talk too. He's just not an athlete and if Klitschko can take him into later rounds, Haye will be knackered.
Haye not an athlete???? Pppppfffftttt! The boys ripped and chock full of fast twitch fibres ready to pound the Russian! As I said before, if it goes beyond six it will become very interesting and I'd worry for Hayes belts!
Trash talk is part and parcel of Boxing!
We might not like it, some of you may look down your noses at it, but it is part of the game - just like sledging in cricket.
Got to support Haye. It's a great event for the sport. If Haye can win this one, its a perfect setup for having an Undisputed Heavyweight Champion since when, the late 90s?
Ok, he can seem a little arrogant. So what? Does anyone remember a certain boxer called Mohammed Ali????
He's just not an athlete and if Klitschko can take him into later rounds, Haye will be knackered.
This is very sweet. It also shows you have no idea how skilled, and how good your physical attributes have to be to become a world class boxer. Like it as not, thats what he is. He may have a gob and attitude, but he also has skill and strength, speed and fitness in spades to get the level of professional sport hes in.
Klitschko will beat him though. If your jab is good enough, you don't need anything else other than a good cover. Makes for crap watching though.
I remember Ali, he was a cock too!
Bagstard - that's my point. But was he a crap boxer?
It's part of the sport!
I would like to stick David Haye in a time machine and drop him into the ring with an early eighties Tyson. That would be really amusing!
Aah sledging, in a true gentlemans sport.
Glen McGrath once got pwned by a classic sledge. After bowling a couple of firey ones at a chunky south African number 11 he asked " why are you so fat mate" to which chunky replies " because every time I **** your wife she gives me a biscuit"
chocolate" because every time I **** your wife she gives me a
biscuit"
"It also shows you have no idea how skilled, and how good your physical attributes have to be to become a world class boxer."
On the contrary, dear boy. I do understand what it takes to be a world class boxer and Haye has admitted himself that he does no road work and hates running. That is why he never goes the distance with the journeymen he fights, as he does not have the stamina.
Someone like Tyson had the skill and power to pull this off (he had bad asthma so couldn't run a great deal), but Haye, in my opinion just doesn't. That is why I said that if it does go into the later rounds, Haye will be knackered. Nowt wrong with that.
Don't get me wrong, I think Klitschko is also a bit rubbish, but there you go.
Oh, and I agree with Bagstard ^^^ 😆
Now that would be amusing!
Sheesh... early Tyson, if Cus D'Amato had lived just another couple of years, there would be no debate as to who the greatest was.
Think you're right Gary - sounds wrong to say that such a fine physical specimen as Haye is not an athlete, but he used to struggle badly with conditioning at cruiserweight and couldn't fight for 12 rounds. Now he's not killing himself to make the weight he's probably better, but he does lack athleticism in this department."It also shows you have no idea how skilled, and how good your physical attributes have to be to become a world class boxer."On the contrary, dear boy. Someone like James Toney from a few years back would be a (perverse) example of a natural athlete in boxing - no roadwork or even much training at all, show up overweight and still go 12 with no problem whatsoever. Great, great chin as well.
Toney used to make Hattons body shots look like love taps. Did he not kidnap his manager, he was working at heavyweight a couple of years ago.
I would like to stick David Haye in a time machine and drop him into the ring with an early eighties Tyson. That would be really amusing!
It certainly would be amusing.
Mainly because Tyson's first professional fight was in March 1985
He'd still get mauled by an amateur Tyson.
It certainly would be amusing.
Mainly because Tyson's first professional fight was in March 1985
not seen the footage of tysons olympic fights or from when he was 14 then..?? Haye still wouldnt make it past the first minute he has no chin to take a punch.
I'm getting quite excited abut this fight now.
Then again, I did for the Haye v Audrey fight too. 😯
Tyson was incredible before he went professional, I find it hard to believe he was so young. He is just in a different category to Haye. Also, Haye's jibes are nothing like Ali's, at least Ali always mocked with a bit of humour and with some class. He had a glint in his eye, Haye just comes across as a little prick.
