Anybody just get sleepy? I have none of the typical symptoms I am just drowsy/ sleepy.
I will get the normal symptoms (itchy eyes and throat) later on in the summer plus tiredness but at the moment it's just tiredness. I hate it!
Is that from the hay fever or the drugs you take to stop the hay fever? I used to feel worn out most of early summer when I was taking the traditional (non drowsy) antihistamines but since switching to a steroid nasal spray I’ve not felt anywhere near as tired. Have also found the fluticasone Sprays to be a lot more effective at actually stopping the symptoms too.
Yup, I put it down to my body fighting the allergy, or something like that, I'm no doctor 😂
It used to affect me so badly I would fall asleep regularly in the afternoon, bloody awful.
Oh, and vertigo.
After a few years of getting prescription stuff I've reverted to off the shelf loratidine and beconase. Works OK but Im now zonked!
I'm over the moon that fexofenadine is finally available otc rather than having to get it on prescription as in years past it's been the only thing that's kept mine under control in conjunction with the fluticasone spray.
That said, every year since I stopped dairy consumption my symptoms have gotten milder and milder, to the point where I can get by on the spray at half-dose and loratadine every couple of days. Could be a spurious correlation but I'm not complaining!
But not really suffering with drowsiness from it at all though.

Oh when did that happen ? I have had to fight in the past to get it from the GP. All the other active ingredients would make me moody, irritable and to the point I would fall asleep and not able to drive. Fexofenadine not only got rid of those symptoms but worked better than others too.
First year taking Allevia (fexofenadine) for me. So far seems pretty good. Combined with eye drops.
It's hard to tell, condistions make it variable/somedays worse. But mine normally kicks in now and gets progressively worse through June.
