There's a hell of a lot of particulates in the air because there isn't any wind blowing away all the dust and diesel fumes. Could it be that?

I think there's a cold virus going around. I started sneezing a lot yesterday but no other symptoms but today am all bunged up + mild sore throat. I don't normally get much in the way of hayfever, sometimes slightly itchy eyes if it's a really high pollen count.

People around me have started sneezing as well today so I'll probably not be popular if they come down with something...

I've heard a few people say their HF has started already, and OH (a pharmacist) has seen a few people in with symptoms.

From DEFRA:

Today : Areas of Moderate, and locally High air pollution are forecast mainly in urban parts of central and northern England, southern Scotland and Northern Ireland. This is considered to be from locally generated and continental sources with light winds and the potential for some Saharan Dust. Elsewhere, mainly Low levels of air pollution are forecast.

Tomorrow : Widespread areas of Moderate, locally High air pollution are forecast on Tuesday, with the main area of risk covering much of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Eastern parts of Scotland.

Outlook : Moderate to High levels of air pollution are likely to persist during Wednesday and perhaps become more extensive, with a low risk of seeing localised Very High levels in urban centres in the northern England. Air pollution levels are expected to return to Low from Thursday as winds increase from the west.

Yeah, eyes itching like crazy, nose streaming the last few days. Benadryl calming it down, same as I use in the summer for hayfever.

I'd assumed it was dust, had been moving boxes and old furniture around between some rooms.
