You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
On my 12 month probation meeting are having my 6 month only 2 months ago.
To be honest I want to leave and start my own business as I see my employer as a sinking ship with 60 hr weeks.
At first I was I worried but now I want them to fire me lol
Run that past me again?
Quit then*
Don't actually do that unless you have a plan.
So if you want to leave what is it that you were wondering if you should worry about?
how did the 6 month one go?
Maybe they are a sinking ship so it's last in first out...or maybe they like you so much they want to end your probation early.
Better hope your HR/manager isnt reading this.
Its a prelude to firing you. You are being managed out.
I want them to fire me lol
I'd fire you for using "lol" as a word.
Are the staff contributing to the sink or swim situation?
there has been conversation between your manager and the HR rep that went
manager: I want to fire him
HR: Have you done the probation meetings?
manager: no, not yet
HR do those first, otherwise he has a case.
Well I had my targets for the 6 month one.
As I was working on those targets they threw the 12 month probation at me.
Doesn’t sound organised and HR and senior managers present.
At first I was worried but then all day I’ve planned my business plan...
Probably being pushed out. If I get a warning then I’m out before they finish.
I'd fire you for using "lol" as a word
Agreed, and for apparently being drunk at 6:30.

English teacher ?
It could be anything.
Truthfully these days an employer can sack anyone in the first 2 years without reason and employmentt disput cases are rare.
Did anyone else read the title and think that the OP had recently been released from prison?
It *could* be early release from the probation - at my current employer they took me off probation after only a couple of months.

Yes.
or early release from prison?
They're probably going to make you an offer......
It could be to stay...
but more likely to leave particularly as you're probably not entitled to any redundancy or compensation in lieu of notice
More targets that are unrealistic. I asked them to show me how... they couldn’t.
I spoke to an agency who is lining me up quite a few interviews now I’ve given 2 weeks notice.
Now I get to ride more!
Will reflect whether to start my own business or be chicken playing it safe by working with other people’s money.
Sounds like you're well rid of the place mate and good luck with whatever you decide to do in the future!
I'm still waiting for my 3 month probation meeting. I'll have been there 22 years in March so I have a feeling they may have forgotten it.
