The festival of ludicrously overconfident halfwits starts tonight.
I haven’t seen any previews but I’ll just assume it’s the same old, same old, so we can all marvel at the comedic ineptitude of people who in their own heads truly believe that not only should they be running the country, but that they’d be doing a bloody great job of it
Let the swaggering, cocksure bell-endery commence
I say it every year, but where on earth do they find these total ****-wits?
They’re meant to be leading a tour and just forgot they were in Innsbruck and didn’t know where the Dolomites were (facepalm emoji)
Yes, its called the Donald! Trump! thread.
Airheaded pricks slavishly doing whatever an old man says for money.
Desperate proletariats perform dehumanising stunts for a wealthy puppet master with an archaic attitude towards work and a history of making profoundly prejudice and racist comments... how this cultural abomination keeps getting renewed is beyond me

Partly that but partly the format now is so stale!
It's long since just become a parody of itself. And having said all that... I was out last night, got back in time for the last 20 minutes which is really all I can stand anyway - them trying to do the task is so cringing I can't watch - so I saw the first "you're fired".
They all looked and sounded horrific anyway so I can't imagine I'll do anything more than occasionally watch the last 15 mins of an episode.
Normallly watch it every year but last night for the first time I'm done with this
Its comedy gold

And thats just Alan Sugar. He chooses these halfwits so clearly isn’t interested in talent
I was meaning to look for that Mitchell and Webb sketch the other day, purely for the 'smallest large amount of money' line. After watching The Traitors for the first time.

Obviously, its all about the ratings! Hence the selection of total muppets, all full of an absolutely inecsplicable amount of self-confidence given their non-existant abilities and truly obnoxious personalities. But as @DT78 pointed out.... its comedy gold... made all the more funny because the participants don't even realise that they're the comedy being served up for the ridicule and derision of the nation
Even by the usual standards there looks like a couple of absolutely outstanding whoppers this series
Suralan did actually say something genuinelly funny last night. When discussing mugs, he came out with something along the lines of 'don't talk to me about mugs, I bought Spurs!'

Every series is the same though; it's like none of the participants have ever watched any previous Apprentice or have any idea how the editing will be done to make them appear worse than they are or have done any preparation or research into previous tasks.
They all fall into the same gaping elephant traps.
I'm not sure if The Apprentice should be on the "disproportionately cross" thread.
At first I watched it cos it was an interesting idea, then I just watched the last 20 minutes for the showdown and sacking and now I don't watch it at all as people that lacking in, well, pretty much everything frankly, should not be given the oxygen of publicity out of my license fee.
We didn't even get past 5 mins of accidental viewing before having to change channels...
