Yeah so the climate is going to be borked by 2030 with severe and potentially irreversible consequences
Oh dear
I bet it'll be fine.
Oh, wait...

I cant think of anyway out of it. Sadly humanity doesnt seem equipped to deal with this sort of problem with our current political and economic systems. We are, as a species, piss poor at having short term pain for long term gains even with our own bodies let alone the entire planet.
It's technically/physically possible to limit the temp rise globally to 1.5°C but the political shifts it would require along with the selfish habits of humans the world over probably mean it ain't gonna happen. My money would be on 2.5-3°C followed by mass panic and development of carbon capture tech to try and remove CO2 and potentially reduce global temp. By this point it'll be too late for an awful lot of species and habitats though
Puts Brexit in perspective.
This was playing in my head today, when I was out in borderline 20 degree weather towards the end of October...
What tyre for climate change?
Too late to do anything, we are all ****ed. Time to have some fun before sitting back and enjoying the show.

Multiple tyres will be needed since the best guess is it will lead to more extreme and varied weather in this part of the world.
And Nero played while Rome burnt, or did he just sent a tweet or facebook post and think he had done enough.
Back in the pre smartphone day people would have taken to the streets besieged centers of government the students would have led the way, but where the hell are the politically active young in this generation?

Never show if these are serious or not but generally come in one step down from the deniers in my book. No need to change anything carry on, not my fault.

Well about half a million did on the weekend over brexit.
But I mean if only we had told the students to protest for us earlier.
What are you doing about it?

I've done my bit. Been doing it for decades, been warning others as well. I live my life at a level that if everyone did the same then we wouldn't be in this situation. I've no kids, when I go I will leave knowing that I have done more good than damage.
If more people gave a shit then I might do more but they don't so **** it.
Nice bitfrom Michael Mann (Climate scientist)
to paraphrase badly - Wrong to think of it as some sort of cliff edge which we will fall over at 1.5c, better analogy is to think of it as a minefield..how far into the minefield do we want to walk.
I've always brought it up. I get the piss ripped out of me for it though.
