Incredible stuff. Briefly heard on the news this morning that 8 surgeons worked on attaching all the tendons and whatever other gubbins needs to be attached to make hands work.
He's a cyclist too, be interesting if they follow up with his first bike ride. Just don't foosh please!

That's awesome. Medical stuff amazes me with what they can do. 😀
This photo, however, might give me nightmares:

There's an invisible flap in the black background - he's just slipped his fingers behind it.

his other one looked exactly the same. It was a metal stamping machine. Doesn't need much imagination. Makes me a feel a little faint!

So it really will feel like someone else is doing it?

Pretty incredible scientific/medical work though.

I was served in a shop the other week by a guy who's thumb and forefinger used to be his big toes.

My aunty used to work as a nurse in occupational health - once had to deal with a guy who'd climbed inside a machine that stamped out car body panels. There really wasn't very much to deal with mind.

So he now has the finger prints of a dead man? A life of crime must surely beckon...

Did any Leeds residents just hear the headline summary on Radio Aire 2?

"...says he can feel whole again".

Priceless 😀

First for the UK. But check out Brendan. I don't know if he is awaiting the legs.

It's the bit at the end encouraging you to 'donate your hands' that got me, hilarious! Who's first up? Eh?

It's both medically awesome, and a great source of masturbation jokes, what a time to be alive!
