It the end if the current Mayan period, not the end Of the world. Then they said between now and 2032 there might be an erupting volcano, a tsunami, a meteor storm, apathy with religion and a loss of faith in political leadership and God might visit us.
It's clever of them to do predict that so long ago, but as we see it today all of that will probably happen with the least likely event being the erupting volcano of course. The new Mayan period gradually eases in over that time and is one of enlightenment.
