I'd by livid if Mrs Anagallis did this, or myself tbh. But I was shocked that no one stopped to help the poor women. About 6 months ago I helped an old bloke who was assaulted in a road rage incident. Police told me 5 people phoned the police about it but I was the only one to help the guy, fair enough the others may have been too scared or something but none of them would give the police a statement. Is the world really that selfish and or scared?

How have those people sat in their cars watched that and dopne nothing about it - even after the event get out she is clearly distressed by it

Almost as bad as thief tbh

see bystander effect and diffusion of responsibility as psychologist call it

Sadly a well documented and known behaviour

I'm not convinced that people in the cars driving past were aware of what was happening. I couldn't see any pedestrians, the only other person who clearly knew what was happening was the cctv operator.

Personally, I sometimes think about tackling errant apostrophes but always end up leaving it to others 🙂

I have to lock or unlock a gate at work if I'm first in or last out.
Common sense tells me not to leave my Land Rover with the key in, or bike unattended, for even a few seconds.
This was in Manchester. 😯

Not that many people like fighting or putting themselves in a position where they may have to use force, even if it's to defend others.

It's completely understandable. Also, a lot of those drivers might not have seen the robber jump in, they may just think that the woman was potentially a knife wielding crazy.

I'd certainly have second thoughts if I came across a woman trying to drag someone out of a moving car.
