I'm looking at fitting a Viessmann boiler, and the weather compenstion option is pretty cheap, but the heating engineer says living with them is 'weird'. I've trawled the net for real user opinions and not really found much from people who actually have them. Anybody using WC in a 'normal' house?
Same here, i've queried the various reps over it myself and always get different answers. In theory it should be good in an old house, but I can't see it making any difference in a modern, well insulated home.
Good choice on the viessmann though, if your plumber has done the viessmann fitting course, you get a 5 year warranty
couple of guys at work have them and seem to really like them.
Thanks Footflaps, it's to to know someone thinks it's a good idea! My understanding is that you don't have a room stat, which I find a bit scary, and also that the radiators spend quite a bit of their time at lowish temperatures. I always thought radiators should get hot, then shut off.
