My first sighting was "Repo Man".

Most memorable line: (snorts line of speed off the car dashboard) "Look at that over there. Normal people. I f-ing hate 'em".

I'm sort of with Mr Woppit ('cept I remember it differently 😉 )

Look at those assholes, ordinary f--king people. I hate 'em.

Man, a Repo Man's life is always intense.

For a while, I could receit the whole 'I knew these people, these two people...' monologue from Paris, Texas...

Right. Right!

Love HDS. So many great films. Might watch Paris Texas tonight in his honour.

Another quote for Woppit:

Well, you better not be. I don't want no commies in my car. No Christians either.

Definitely watching Repo Man again tonight...

Liked him as an actor - cast as a particular type on many occasions. Always enjoyable, tho.

Always looked like he needed a wash... 🙂

RIP, fella.

If you would like a little weep check out his singing Cancion Mixteca from the Ry Cooder soundtrack album of Paris Texas.
Something Mrs BigJohn and I have enjoyed sipping a late night coffee and whisky to for many years.

Going off on a slight tangent - what happened to Alex Cox who directed Repo Man and presented Moviedrome?
Dead, alive, suspended animation?

I was just watching him play the guitar in Twin Peaks: The Return when I discovered this.

I was thinking he'd always looked old and wondered how old he was.

Huge talent, massive canvas of work.
