Happy Christmas to all the Christmas workers keeping things going when everyone else is enjoying themselves.

Enjoy what ever celebrations you can fit in & hope you manage to spend some time with your family and friends 🙂

I’ve got off lightly, finish nightshift at 7am Christmas morning and then off until the 30th.

(And happy Christmas to everyone else too).

Managed to get the night off tonight but I'll be back to work for 8 tomorrow (this?) evening. Hazard of the job I guess, even if we're not making megawatts we still need to babysit the plant.

I raise a glass to all the workers, may the celebrations be all the sweeter when they come!

Merry Christmas everyone. Finish at 0700 so home breakfast, do the presents, shower and bed for 1100 then up at 1600 shovel some Turkey dinner down, another shower then set off for work at 1800. To be fair it’s first Christmas at work for a few years.
Off Boxing Day till 29th so Christmas starts then. Off to Mums Boxing Day after a few hours sleep.

Merry Christmas to all those working, and thank you. My old man always had to work on Christmas Day (bulk milk deliveries) but would get up at 2am to get his shift done early and then home for us kids and a full on day of pressies/Turkey/fun etc. never appreciated how hard it must have been until I was an adult. So yeah, if you’re working in whatever capacity then Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas all.

I’m setting off soon as working in the control room this year. First Christmas I’ve worked in there, looking forward to it. We have a buffet planned and it’s very sociable. I’m off tomorrow so go full tilt then.

Yep. I'm thinking of all my ex colleagues on Red Division in the prison service. At least they'll be off for new year.
Oh how I miss rolling around the floor on Xmas morning with prisoners pissed up on hooch. Not.
Stay safe guys.

Just finished lunch at work along with a couple of tins of alcohol free beer and I can hardly move. I'm actually smiling! Not sure why though 😀

Nightshift on a rig in the Mediterranean staffed mainly by locals who don't celebrate Christmas. The galley crew tried but the turkey was raw in the middle and the entirety of the trimmings was boiled potatoes and sweet potato cubes... Thankfully I've got a whole Christmas fruitcake to keep me going until breakfast.

Merry Christmas all

Tonight and tomorrow to go and then annual leave for the next three weeks! Work has been spectacularly bonkers over the last few months so it's a very welcome and needed break from the wards.

Christmas on a secure mental ward was surprisingly good fun.
Pretty much the same as at home but with different drugs.

Antipsychotics seem to cause fewer issues than alcohol!

Worked in the Pharmacy at Ninewells Hospital today. Only a few hours late morning to early afternoon providing an emergency supply service so not as heavy as some. At least we got to do pressies etc this morning with the kids and back in time to help with the dinner. Back again tomorrow but then off until Jan 9th.

All done got home by 19.30 started off Ok then rapidly got busy with some sad and challenging jobs. Crews kept very up spirited though and marched on. Off tomorrow so having a few drinks tonight, then hit it properly tomorrow.
