Keeping the missus informed is definitely the right move. It takes away any chance of the other person dropping you in the shit if she starts to go a bit bunny boiler about it.
For whoever said on the previous page they wouldn't tell the missus because it would give her more ammo in future - you've got bigger issues than the OP.
If Mrs Spanner and you have a good relationship she will know these advances are unwanted and not asked for. Try to be compassionate, but there is a fourth party here - your employer. Hopefully you won't need to involve them, but don't leave it too late if things get more intense.

Question to all, how do you know if a person is attractive or not? I seem to lose the ability to distinguish between attractive or otherwise. For example, the 90s TV presenter Siân Lloyd, when I first saw her on the telly I practically laughed non-stop because she looked “funny” (I stopped laughing once I found out she was meant to be attractive).
I walked past her as she was chatting to someone in M&S Mumbles a few weeks ago. I only noticed because of her voice really. She's still a good looking woman - I just Googled her, she's 64 now.
