You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Anyone watching it? Its dark - really dark. So much so I'm finding it really hard to watch and might have to give up. Its not just me is it?
You don't have long to get used to it, seems it's been cancelled at the end of this series
I loved the first two series but IMO it's now lost the plot, they should rename it 'The pretentious adventures of Will's over active imagination'.
I gave up at some point in the middle of series 2, even Gillian Anderson couldn't keep me interested.
Its dark - really dark
Do you mean in tone, or just in terms of the picture.
I had to give up watching on the tablet and revert to TV for episode 1.
But I'm still enjoying it... very sad it's been cancelled, rumour has it to do with the problems getting the rights for clarice Starling.
Theyre gonna change it to a male character Clarence Sterling
I agree o darkness, episode 1 was pointless.
Yep loved the first 2 series or seasons or whatever, the new one is too dark and trying to be too clever. Its a pity its been canned as looks like it could of been awesome, I was looking forward to them catching up with the films main plot and Hannibal being behind bars, plus unfinished business from the previous season.
I binned it mid-way through episode 2. Not only was it very dark visually but had gone a bit weird and very very slow in the plot. when there was a bit of suspense and some bits of Will going nuts etc it was exciting to watch...
It has been cancelled but reading an interview with the producers it's nigh on certain that it'll be picked up by another network for future series. Frontrunners are Netflix and Amazon instant. Hbo can't for contractual reasons but they were apparently exceedingly keen.
Hannibal is brilliant.
It's always been pretty slow, but this series is an extension of that and definitely more surreal. I still love the Hannibal character though, so twisted!
Watched episodes 1 and 2 this weekend, confused as to who is alive and who isn't 😕 Gillian Anderson is spectacular and Mads as Hannibal is brilliant. A mate at work says stick with it it speeds up at episode 4. I will stick with it.
It's interesting how they are blending the naratives from the books, the original films and from real life.
Il Mostro was a real serial killer in Italy and is credited with being one of the inspirations behind the Hannibal character. In 'Hannibal' Inspector Patzzi is taken off investigating the Il Mostro case and put onto the disappearance of the curator of the Caponni library - a disappearance that Hannibal has orchestrated so as to create an opening for the position he wants himself, as Dr. Fell.
So here we now have Patzzi still pursuing Il Mostro, but where that killer is formally identified as Hannibal.
I also like how Gillian Anderson's character has been developed along the lines of how Starling's character developed in Hannibal; a more or less willing consort.
I'm amazed this even got made on american network tv let alone last three series. Should def get picked up by amazon (front runner) or netflix.
I love this programme but it does freak me out.
Eddie Izzard was brilliant in that first episode of this series
Ep 5... It's a slower tone this series and they are merging the time lines, but this series is back up... I do like it...
Watched 3 and 4 last night, still confused. Still entertaining but would like them to pick up the pace a bit.
Most intrigued as to what will happen to Gillian Andersons character.
The murder at the dinner table in 4 was "interesting"
