Any ran or running Hankook Optimo k415's on their cars?

I can get 2x 225/45/17 w for £90 fitted, are they going to be ditch finders are are they any good?

Online reviews all seem positive, but you never know who's written them

Ta

Not that model but I used icebears on the old car and got a set of V12 Evos on the new one- they seem grand, very good value, good performance, better life than I was expecting too considering the weight and power of the car (and no traction control, and a dobber for a driver).

Due to a galv clout nail I paid £60 today for a Ditchfinder (actually a Landsail FFS!) so at £90 for 2 who cares?

Personally I enjoy the Kato-esqe testing of my reflexes the Landsails provide, the 200 mile scrubbing-in period (a corner, in the wet? Oops) which turns out to mean nothing when an emergency stop is required on a corner in the dry...

It provides some of the excitement of a decent motorbike (near death's) whilst keeping me dry during wet weather 🙂

Again, no experience with that tyre but I too have v12 Evo's on mine and they're very good for the money, run much more quietly than the old Contis and seem to grip just as well.

I've used the k415 on my daily runabout and they're certainly not ditchfinders. Think my last set did around 25,000 miles, good mid price range tyre in my opinion.

I ran over a nail
It cost me £10! (But I spotted it before the rim ran on the tyre/tyre was expensive/5mm).

Where OP? I need two new fronts.

Well that's all positive. Cheers. Looks like they'll be going on.

Hora - Cost price off someone I know.

Hankook v12 EVO on the front of Ibiza and they are ok. Not as good as the cheaper Matador MP46 that were on previously, so I'll be going back to them when they need changing.

They were OE items on the mighty Mondeo. Wear is a higher priority than grip but they were pretty good. Fronts lasted about 15k rears still legal but starting to tramline at about 45k IIRC

Replaced with Kumho Ecstas very similar kind of tyre
