We have been invited to a friend's house for a Halloween party and we need to pick a costume to wear. My wife has chosen a scary clown costume and picked out a image from Google images for her face.

I'm at a complete loss to what to wear and need some stw inspiration.

How can you be "at a complete loss" ? 🙂

Surely you can think of a Halloween costume, granted clown wasn't an obvious one, but all the characters from horror movies are.

Girl from the ring. Just tell your wife not to wash from now until Halloween.

One year I went as the Hitcher from Mighty Boosh. Next time was Jigsaw from SAW...then a zombie Bob the Builder.

Halloween is easy.

Cheers for the positive input Ernie 😆

I did want to go as Hannibal wearing a surgical gown and mask, but my arse would be showing and there is going to be kids there, so that put paid to that idea.

What I'm after is something out if the ordinary, but as said,I'm at a loss to decide what. Just looking for some inspiration really.

Is it too soon to go as a Boston Bomber (running kit and rucksack)?

If there's kids there, Jimmy saville. Sure to put the willies up them.

I'm thinking of banning myself for that.

I bought one of these
https://www.google.co.uk/shopping/product/9449714604736177152?q=zombie+outfit&client=safari&hl=en-gb&biw=320&bih=372&dpr=2&sa=X&ei=IUJYUuGUH6LG0QXprIDYAw&ved=0CGkQ8wIwBg#hsec:overview
But I doctored some proper clothes- a hoody and a pair of jeans so it was more realistic, loads of fake blood and it looked fantastic, easy to do just cut out and stitch in as the costume is a bit poor

I went to a Halloween party as a bat, made the costume out of a black umbrella for wings sewn to a black jumper, and some black velvet pointy ears!

I've got a head to toe werewolf costume which I absolutely love. First time I wore it was the day it arrived in about mid Oct. Had a stinking cold so I put it on and climbed underneath a duvet on the sofa downstairs. Little did I know the missus has asked someone from her workplace to pop round to drop something off. The look on his face when he popped his head round the door was a picture 🙂

I went to a material shop, got a big big square of white t shirt type material. Soaked it in a bucket of t bags and water, dried it off, cut it into 3 inch ish non stop strip, put on white socks and boxers and wound it round me.! Hey presto, dodgy protracted walk and you've got a mummy. I won first prize btw.
I hate fancy dress also!

I have found that jeans and a t-shirt is perfectly acceptable for any given fancy dress party.

Call me a killjoy but I cannot stand getting dressed up. If others want to that's fine so long as they don't expect me to...

2 inflatable 'sex' dolls, some bandages and you have it! A Human Centipede costume. I just need to be invited to a fancy dress party and I'm going to unleash that one...

This has inspired me to make a mk2 american werewolf costume. Spent the day sculpting and mold making. Raining is my excuse

Itd look better if I had some hair..

Lower neck rough sculpt. Doesnt have to me uber detailed as gets covered in blood, this goes below the upper layer of neck skin to add depth. Made the trachea too thats just setting

Ha, I've literally just finished watching Life Aquatic 😀 great movie, I always thought it'd be a good costume.

I'm thinking Hal 9000 this year.....either that or original Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide.
