Anyone used the Protector Alpin? Not cheap @ £309, but I don't mind spending on decent PPE

I've had 2 pairs of Protector Pro's and a pair of Protector Light's over the last 12 years. £309 is a bit spendy but considering my experience with other haix boots I'd be fairly confident they'd be very durable and comfortable.
As another option, Meindl Airstream's are meant to be very comfortable too but I've not got first hand experience of them.
I have 7 pairs of Haix boots and shoes. They are great quality
Have a look on Armyworld.PL on a PC for seconds/samples (doesn't really work on mobile)
Beware the 3rd party payment portal thing they use - my credit card details were stolen. They don't take PayPal.
Shipping was €30 for one pair or multiple so I bought 3pairs. The site is a bit haphazard and needs a bit of rummaging to find the decent deals but I got two pairs of the RRP £110 approach/hiking shoe for €29 a pair and a pair of £160 tactical mid for €60
I've got some Haix walking boots, really comfy though work paid for mine.
Haix boots really are a thing? There is a big Haix store here that I have never seen anyone in. I just assumed it was a front for money laundering or drug dealing!
Are you climbing in them or ground working? In my experience Haix tand to last longer than Meindl but marginally at best. The price is ridiculous though, Meindl woodwalker (you can get them for about £170) are as good as anything ive ever worn for climbing and groundwork. I suppose it depends on how hard a life they will get, if your hammering them all day every day they all literally wear to bits, 12-18m for me...
300 quid for a pair of work boots?! 😳
I wear work boots 6 days a week and my go-to and comfy Buckler Hybridz last me just about a year before the sole wears through.
I take it these Haix booties are like walking on pillows and will last 4 years of continual use?
Ah, thought not.
Buckler Hybridz
Chainsaw protection level????? Probably fine for slouching on the trade counter at Screwfix whilst rummaging in the biccy tin for the fake choccy hobnobs
🙂
They do look expensive but I have no idea how much good PPE costs and feet are really quite useful!
